BRIT UNDER FEST strengthens its debut with Neville Brody and a powerful second wave of artists
18 feb, 2026
Barcelona is gearing up for the first edition of BRIT UNDER FEST, taking place on 15 and 16 May at the Carpa-Picnic venue in the Poble Espanyol. The festival strengthens its multidisciplinary identity, where contemporary British music, design and art meet without filters, unveiling a powerful second wave of confirmations.
After announcing iconic Scottish writer Irvine Welsh as the leading literary figure of this debut edition, Brit Under Fest now welcomes a true living legend of British design: Neville Brody. A key figure in the UK’s graphic scene since the 1980s, Brody has shaped British cultural aesthetics by connecting music, fashion and street culture. His work with the influential magazine The Face, alongside collaborations with iconic brands and media outlets, makes him an essential voice in understanding contemporary visual culture. His presence further cements the festival’s artistic dimension and confirms that BRIT UNDER FEST goes far beyond the traditional music format.
On the musical front, the line-up continues to take shape with the addition of standout names from today’s British and Irish alternative scene. From Edinburgh, Bikini Body blend punk and dance with a contemporary edge; from Manchester, Hungry deliver a burst of post-punk, funk and political energy; from Dublin, Silverbacks revisit ’90s indie with tension and a modern outlook; and Pynch bring their contemporary lo-fi sound, produced by Andy Ramsay. They join King No-One, Cooper T and Irvine Welsh to form a line-up that leaves no room for doubt: this is not a passing trend, but an essential date in the cultural calendar.
BRIT UNDER FEST presents itself as a complete experience that goes beyond concerts: two days of music, art, exhibitions, gastronomy and British and Irish culture in one of Barcelona’s most distinctive venues. The Carpa-Picnic at Poble Espanyol will be transformed into a small British ecosystem — a space to share, discover and build a cultural community set to grow year after year
